Hi this will be my second trip to the beautiful Costa Rica. Some time at the very end of April and early May will be when we are going. Everything is still up in the air right now but this is what we've got so far


Arrive in San Jose....stay until morning

Bus To Manuel Antonio

Stay for 4 nights

Bus(maybe rental car) to Punta Mona

Stay 1 night

Bus(maybe rental car) to Puerto Viejo

Stay for 2 nights

Bus(maybe rental car) to Monteverde

Stay for 2 maybe 3 nights(depending on travel time and departure time out of San Jose the last day)

Arrive back to San Jose for plan home



We are unsure of our means of transportation from place to place. There are great pros to bussing it and renting a car. We are on a tight budget and the bus may be the only way to go. Any input would be greatly appreciated!!

Good plan. I was in Costa for 10 days and you hit several of the spots I enjoyed. I recommend the car rental. Its cheap and you get to come and go as you pleae. You don't have a lot of time so that benefit is very important.
