Post Best, Quiet Beach to learn to surf
Heyo

I am arriving San Jose on 6 weeks for almost 1 month. I would like to find a nice, clean spot to stay and learn to surf.

I am a 33 male and I am traveling alone. I intend to spend a great deal of time surfing.

I need access to internet on a regular basis, on location preferably.

I am looking to spend around $40 - $60 / night.

Thanks everyone who will take the time to help me find a good spot

If you'd like to check out the Caribbean side of Costa Rica, Playa Negra has a nice, consistent beginner's wave, and Playa Cocles is also calm right now with a nice, long, clean stretch of Blue Flag beach. High speed internet is available from Puerto Viejo down to Cocles... Puerto Viejo is a surf town and there's excellent local surf guides, beginner's lessons, etc. available. We're home of the famous Salsa Brava barrel...

Zancudo Area.. The longest left hand wave in the world ! Quiet and laid back.. awsome !
There are several nice places to stay in the area.
Call Dave at Rainforest Properties in Golfito. He has a friend that runs a restaurant and an Inn down there.
