well, I am a 61 single woman considering making the move and was wondering what that would be like, I was afraid that all the americans would be couples or really really old, what do you do there, I would like to correspond with you to get the inside tract on "Life in Costa". Did you have money to move there, and did you bring everything with you.

Hi all,
I am 58 (can't believe i said that)
and moved to Costa Rica on my own 15 yrs ago.
It takes some intestinal fortitude, but it's really fun
and safe if you get some good advice.
I would never go back, no way, this is home.
Glad to help if I can,
YOU CAN DO THIS !!!

back then, in '91, you had to bring almost everything,
that is no longer true, almost anything you will need is here and easier and cheaper to get it here.

I waited almost 10 years before owning a home,
there's a lot to know.

I did get married after being here 10 yrs.

Here is our web site;
www.dearbetty.com

where you can see how i live in a very beautiful place,
with gardens and views and peace, it's heaven.

WOW Tia, your lampshades are fabulous !
most of what is out there is deadly dull,
yours are magnificent !

We are starting a project where local women
make paintings that are then sold in souvenir stores.
We train and provide all the materials.
It allows women to work in a creative way, earn some money while caring for home and children. It's workin.

Ask me anything,
but i warn you, i am very pro costa rica !

cheers
Dianne
