What is the best and least expensive area to buy land in Costa Rica within walking distance from the beach which is being developed in a gated community.

I saw your post and must recommend Playa Preciosa on the Osa Peninsula - 10 minutes from Puerto Jimenez on an excellent and quiet road. I am currently selling a large home with a guest cabina exactly 200 meters from the beach. While it is not a gated community it is exclusive with only a handful of homes and a few upscale lodges. Most people have their own security and all of them communicate with one another. It is difficult to have a gated community next to a beach because all beaches in CR are public. Loke I have mentionned before I recommend the Caribbean also as the prices here are still very low comparing to the Pacific, which is overdeveloped and in the dry season to hot and dusty.
The Caribbean had beed forgotten by the Josefinos (the Costa Ricians from San Jose) who have been throughout Costa Rican history - there is no other way to put it- racist towards the vlack community in CR. So there had not been much development going on this side. It's been only since few years that people have started to discover the Caribbean. And let me tell you it is a paradise. The ocean front properties here go for a fraction of what same costs on the Pacific.

There is a new development that is gated that just broke ground. It is gated and 1 min from the beach. Let me know if you are interested......Forgive me for not telling you on the public forum but I am a realtor and I get a commission if I refer you to them.....Don't worry your price won't change.....they list their prices on their site.
