My Wife and I visted Costa Rica 5 years ago and fell in love with it.
we would like to relocate and purchase a house and property.
we of course have tons of questions and are not sure exacally where we want to relocate to. We do know there would need to be in the forested area not far from the beach, we now live on a 90 acre parcel with our 5 horses and dogs. we like the pacific coast and were looking in the Samara Beach area.
I am a construction Superintendent and also run our concrete division. I would like to work a little longer once I have relocated. How is this Market?
to purchase I have heard of the two tiered price system, the Gringo and the Tico(sp) price. how do we find the best pricing for the property we would like?
Is there any advantages to building new instead of buying existing structure?
what is the building proceess like? contractors, building officals if there are any, licensing needs, etc.
also would it be better to bring our truck or buy there?
what would it take to bring our horses with us??? we could leave them but they are like family. we would of course leave them with family, ha ha
we are looking forward to nice warm weather as ours is frigid for 7 months a year and then the other 5 months are muddy
