Hello all,
We are planning our first trip to CR in late Feb/early March. My wife has heard that driving in CR is horrible, and that we should fly into Liberia and head to the coast on what she has heard are drivable roads. I'm thinking this is overblown, and I want to head down to Guanacaste/Osa Peninsula. I'm looking for rainforests/beaches/jungles/less crowds - and I envision that part of the country to be just that.
If we decide on that part of the country, how would we get there? Fly into San Jose and drive? Are there flights south from there? How are the roads going there from SJ?
It will be my wife and I, and our 11 yo boy, and looking for decent inexpensive place once there. Any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. btw - I live on Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts, and should anyone need help here(long shot I know) I would be more than happy to help.
