My fiance and I would like to get married in Manuel Antonio and in looking at Wedding planning services I have seen the "lawyer" fee to marry us and handle the paperwork for about $800 US. Does that sound high and does anyone know what really is involved in getting married in Costa Rica? I don't mind paying if that is a reasonable rate. Curious for any info on this and any recommend planners. It is only the two of us so it would be a small ceremony and pictures preferably on the beach.

I got married last year in Costa Rica. Our lawyer was $500. Everything went perfectly with no problems what-so-ever.
