My brother and I are going for 2 weeks in June. Does anyone have any recommendations? We are planning on spending the first week hiking rainforests etc..., the second week kicking back, partying....Also, about how much should we expect to spend?

Sean, Let's see, June is during the rainy season. Your best bet is to party and unwind first! You can start in San Jose for 2-3 days, and then go west to Jaco and Quepos for about 3-4 days, and then north to Guanacaste beaches, such as Tamarindo. 2 days in Tamarindo and Flamingo - more R&R and partying! On your way back from Tamarindo to San Jose you can visit Monteverde, Arenal volcano and the hot springs. You could spend about 2-3 days in that area. If you have more time you can go east and hit Puerto Viejo. Nothing much to do in Limon. I did a 2 week trip similar to this about 4 years ago. That was my first trip and we had a ball! Buena suerte! White water rafting!!! Sarapiqui and Pacure rivers. Do that first then Los Lagos for Volcanoes and ht springs then off to Tamarindo Flamigo are for R&R. SAn Jose sucks, big city, thiefs beggers and dirty. Next time we will bounce in and out of there. If you want to see the whole counrty, We bought a SANSA air pass. able you to unlimited flights anywhere in country for 1-2 weeks. Cheap compared to rental car costs and the roads there.
