This hotel was originally a coffee plantation house built around the turn of the century. It was restored with much care and converted into a 20-room hotel. All rooms are appointed with elegant furniture in the style Louis XV, and have their own bath, cable television and a telephone.
The Santo Toma is located in the proximity of central Barrio Amón.

Hemingway Inn
As an authentic Spanish mansion, the Hemingway is one of the most photographed buildings in all of San José. Though the city has grown around it, it was originally built as a large hacienda for the family of a wealthy coffee plantation owner in the 1920´s. Still retaining its former charm, only ten years ago it was completely renovated and remodelled to become an adorable bed and breakfast.
We are at the corner of Avenida 9, Calle 9, in the historic Amon district, San José.
This hotel lies in the Barrio Ottoya, a relatively calm area of San José. The most important nearby places of interest are accessible by foot in just a few minutes. Pension de la Cuesta
A pretty, small ‘pensión’ in the Colonial style. Only a few steps to the center of the city.
The pension lies in the downtown area at Av.1 and Calle 11-13.
