$250/ day that`s to much. you never will spend so much, also not in the touristic place of manuel antonio. if you like to be out of realy touristic places, go down to golfito. you will be closed to the jungle as well to the sea. you find cheap rooms in nice little hotels, called "cabinas" closed to golfito is the famous orchid garden (casa de orquidias) the best time for birdwatching is in the morning or late afternoon. i heard that the "purruja lodge" is a good spot for birdwatchers. to get more information about golfito go into www.golfito.info good luck
