I am looking to travel alone to Costa Rica in March, 7-10 days, and I want a gorgeous beach that allows me to relax, yet stay in an area that allows me to venture out to dinner or get an evening cocktail (or two). I wouldn't mind taking a day trip hiking also. (I love hiking!) I am a little unfamiliar with CR, so I need some ideas of what city (or cities) and hotels (moderate range) I should go in Costa Rica? In addition, where I should hike? (Would a day tour be best?) I really need a vacation from work, so let me thank you in advance for any input!
