White water rafting!!! Sarapiqui and Pacure rivers. Do that first then Los Lagos for Volcanoes and ht springs then off to Tamarindo Flamigo are for R&R. SAn Jose sucks, big city, thiefs beggers and dirty. Next time we will bounce in and out of there. If you want to see the whole counrty, We bought a SANSA air pass. able you to unlimited flights anywhere in country for 1-2 weeks. Cheap compared to rental car costs and the roads there.
