Am coming to CR in late May for a month, my big dilemma is the fact that I want a car to drive to the surf etc, but am travelling on my own, and so a 4x4 will work out v. expensive. Does anybody know whether driving {Tamarindo down to Avellanes, Nosara etc, then across to the ferry to Puntarenas,} is possible without 4x4 in May/June? What about further south to Manuel Antonio/Dominical? If anyone is in a similar position and on their own, looking to do some surfing in May/June, and wants to meet for a few beers, let me know.
