from puerto viejo to the sixaola its about an hour and costa about 1000 colones. from sixaloa the cheapest route is to take a bus to changinola. don't listen to the nonsense from the people at the border just take the 75 cent bus ride (or shared taxi costs $1) and i promise you won't miss the boat bc there are lots of them. from changuinola take another bus ($1) to Al Mirante where the boat is. The boat takes you directly to bocas for $3 or $5 round trip. Have fun-- bocas is great!
