Jason, Until you get better info this is what I know. My husbands been there lots of times (I've opted to stay home). It's beautiful & still friendly but don't expect your car to be untampered with if it's left unattended. Heard that's standard these days. There are nice places to stay because my husband keeps telling me. Will try to get him to post you with the info he has. Don't let me scare you, it's a fabulous surfer and beach paradise if you're a beach baby. Have fun, Pat
