You may want to visit Mal Pais Surf Camp. You can walk to the surf and your wife can either go with you or hang at the pool all day. The food is good and rates are cheap. You can stay in Villas for $60 a night (this was last year) or you can stay in the ranchero for $15 a night but you don't have any walls. Surf is pretty good too.
